To all Members of the WILD Water Commission

Re: Mandatory Ban on Non-Essential Water Use - Effective Immediately.

In keeping with the notice issued by EPCOR at approximately 2:00pm this afternoon (see attached), a mandatory ban on all non-essential water use is now in effect. This ban will remain in effect until further notice.

Resulting from a urgent emergency repair in the EPCOR facility, this ban impacts the entire capital regional and all related transmission networks, including WILD Water. While there is no concern with the quality of water in the system, the downtime for the required repairs will result in water supply issues for the duration of the repair.

While under this mandatory ban, our members are required to follow Demand Management Measure "C." This class of restriction includes municipal, commercial and residential restrictions on all non-essential water use. Examples of restricted activities include:

Water main flushing • Sewer main flushing • Fire fighting training • Street sweeping • Irrigation • Fleet vehicle washing (including buses) • Flooding ice rinks • Spray decks and spray parks • Other non-essential water use (non-essential use is defined by all water not used for human consumption).

In addition, all residents are asked to conserve water by taking short showers instead of baths and turning off the tap while brushing your teeth or shaving. Please delay laundry and hand-wash small amounts of dinner dishes. Every drop helps.

Please share this information within your organizations and to your residents. If you have questions please reach out to our operations team at 780-499-7832. We will issue a notice once the ban is lifted, or a status change is reported to keep everyone informed.

We will advise you as soon as the order is lifted, or of any modifications to the order as they arise.

Thank you for your cooperation,
