Family Violence Prevention Month November

November 12 2023

It’s not easy or comfortable to talk about family violence, which is exactly why we should. November is Family Violence Prevention Month and we’re using that opportunity to host a couple of important conversations.

Save the dates:

  • November 16 at 1:30 p.m. – Boys Will Be...Themselves film screening (45 minutes) in an Edmonton theatre and live streaming across the province, followed by a panel discussion with the Alberta filmmaker; and
  • November 24 from 10-11:30 a.m. – special Bullying Awareness Week webinar featuring Sheldon Kennedy and Teddy Manywounds.

There are many other learning opportunities and events happening across the province. Check our events webpage regularly to see what’s happening. Please feel free to tell us about any events you’d like to share by emailing us.
