• SPRING Large Item Pick Up Thursday May 9, 2024: 8 am-3 pm

• PLEASE do NOT put your items on the road to early, preferably a week prior so starting May 2;
• 4 items per roll ONLY for example 3 black bags and microwave or 4 black bags or 2 chairs and 2 black bags;
• For 2024 you can also opt to put out a moderate amount of organics like tree branches and clippings. This need to be presented in bundles that can be handled by one employee so no more than 4 feet in length and 1 feet in diameter and it SHOULD be tied securely for easy pick up - no more than 4 bundles.  Large branches, clippings and those not presented in this format will NOT be removed so take note.

Study the list carefully and please do your best to cooperate and help run a smooth wastewater hauling service.

All Residents - the Village kindly request the following community standards be adhered to and politely ask all to strive for a peaceful and courteous, respectful community:

• WINTER/SPRING: Please do not push your snow into the ditches.  Do not complain about flooding in the Spring if you do so.  All areas are monitored and where snow is pushed into the ditches recorded, to check and correspond with Spring flooding complaints.

• FALL: In the Fall Public Works will continue to do firesmart (vegetation management and burning) in "streets" (Lakeshore, Blue Heron and West Cove) and other public lands or municipal reserve over vegetated areas - controlled burns will take place and sites monitored.  Please do not interfere with the work.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; Please do not ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  Please do not ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated for personal use - BE RESPECTFUL please and take into consideration the peace and tranquility of others and your immediate neighbours.  Thank you for maintaining a respectful community. 

• All YEAR: Those of you with unkept and untidy yards please do clean up and get off your chair and get your hands dirty - clean tidy yards help keep the community safe and respectful and cultivates pride and a sense of community.  Remove junk storage and trash fire hazard objects and materials.  Please do not park your RV's on road right of ways or municipal lands for storage or recreational use.

• WINTER/SUMMER: Please do not do any target practice or any form of weapons discharge or cross bow discharge: It is not allowed in the public lands to the east of Lakeshore Drive or within municipal boundaries- any activity will be fined by the Bylaw Officer and fines will be added to the appropriate roll number;

• ALL YEAR: Please Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• SUMMER: All recreational fires (at your property only) must be in a approved fire pit and must have a spark screen/cover at all times - douse, stir and douse when you put out the fire (you MUST put it out please);

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the PEACE Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; Do not let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

Municipal Business: The Village kindly request that residents and vendors please continue to conduct your municipal affairs through email and phone, but if you do visit us at the office do so one at a time especially during flu season.  Please do not visit the office if you have the flu or flu like symptoms or are ill with any flu and cough.

Property Tax Payments: Aug/Sept is holiday/reduced hours and cheques can be dropped off in the Village stainless steel mailbox at the store, way on the left or please strongly consider to pay via Interac: email payments.

ANNUAL property taxes will be due June 30, 2024.  A 6% penalty will be applied to annual outstanding starting July 1 and then monthly on the first (1st) of every month until Dec 1 and then a 12% penalty on all outstanding January 1, 2025.

Property Taxes and Assessments: Combine Assessment/Tax notices will be mailed Friday May 17, 2024.

Assessments and Revisions: contact the independent assessor on the back of your tax notice directly.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; Please do not ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  Please do not ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated for personal use - BE RESPECTFUL please and take into consideration the peace and tranquility of others and your immediate neighbours.  Thank you for maintaining a respectful community. 

• All YEAR: Those of you with unkept and untidy yards please do clean up and get off your chair and get your hands dirty - clean tidy yards help keep the community safe and respectful and cultivates pride and a sense of community.  Remove junk storage and trash fire hazard objects and materials.  Please do not park your RV's on road right of ways or municipal lands for storage or recreational use.

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the PEACE Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; Do not let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; Please do not ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  Please do not ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated for personal use - BE RESPECTFUL please and take into consideration the peace and tranquility of others and your immediate neighbours.  Thank you for maintaining a respectful community. 

• All YEAR: Those of you with unkept and untidy yards please do clean up and get off your chair and get your hands dirty - clean tidy yards help keep the community safe and respectful and cultivates pride and a sense of community.  Remove junk storage and trash fire hazard objects and materials.  Please do not park your RV's on road right of ways or municipal lands for storage or recreational use.

Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

Municipal Business: The Village kindly request that residents and vendors please continue to conduct your municipal affairs through email and phone, but if you do visit us at the office do so one at a time especially during flu season.  Please do not visit the office if you have the flu or flu like symptoms or are ill with any flu and cough.

Property Tax Payments: Aug/Sept is holiday/reduced hours and cheques can be dropped off in the Village stainless steel mailbox at the store, way on the left or please strongly consider to pay via Interac: email payments.

• WINTER/SPRING: Please do not push your snow into the ditches.  Do not complain about flooding in the Spring if you do so.  All areas are monitored and where snow is pushed into the ditches recorded, to check and correspond with Spring flooding complaints.

• FALL: In the Fall Public Works will continue to do firesmart (vegetation management and burning) in "streets" (Lakeshore, Blue Heron and West Cove) and other public lands or municipal reserve over vegetated areas - controlled burns will take place and sites monitored.  Please do not interfere with the work.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; Please do not ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  Please do not ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated for personal use - BE RESPECTFUL please and take into consideration the peace and tranquility of others and your immediate neighbours.  Thank you for maintaining a respectful community. 

• All YEAR: Those of you with unkept and untidy yards please do clean up and get off your chair and get your hands dirty - clean tidy yards help keep the community safe and respectful and cultivates pride and a sense of community.  Remove junk storage and trash fire hazard objects and materials.  Please do not park your RV's on road right of ways or municipal lands for storage or recreational use.

• WINTER/SUMMER: Please do not do any target practice or any form of weapons discharge or cross bow discharge: It is not allowed in the public lands to the east of Lakeshore Drive or within municipal boundaries- any activity will be fined by the Bylaw Officer and fines will be added to the appropriate roll number;

• ALL YEAR: Please Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• WINTER/SUMMER: Please do not do any target practice or any form of weapons discharge or cross bow discharge: It is not allowed in the public lands to the east of Lakeshore Drive or within municipal boundaries- any activity will be fined by the Bylaw Officer and fines will be added to the appropriate roll number;

• ALL YEAR: Please Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• SUMMER: All recreational fires (at your property only) must be in a approved fire pit and must have a spark screen/cover at all times - douse, stir and douse when you put out the fire (you MUST put it out please);

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the PEACE Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; Do not let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

• FALL: In the Fall Public Works will continue to do firesmart (vegetation management and burning) in "streets" (Lakeshore, Blue Heron and West Cove) and other public lands or municipal reserve over vegetated areas - controlled burns will take place and sites monitored.  Please do not interfere with the work.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; Please do not ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  Please do not ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated for personal use - BE RESPECTFUL please and take into consideration the peace and tranquility of others and your immediate neighbours.  Thank you for maintaining a respectful community.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; Please do not ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  Please do not ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated for personal use - BE RESPECTFUL please and take into consideration the peace and tranquility of others and your immediate neighbours.  Thank you for maintaining a respectful community. 

• All YEAR: Those of you with unkept and untidy yards please do clean up and get off your chair and get your hands dirty - clean tidy yards help keep the community safe and respectful and cultivates pride and a sense of community.  Remove junk storage and trash fire hazard objects and materials.  Please do not park your RV's on road right of ways or municipal lands for storage or recreational use.

• ALL YEAR: Please Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• SUMMER: All recreational fires (at your property only) must be in a approved fire pit and must have a spark screen/cover at all times - douse, stir and douse when you put out the fire (you MUST put it out please);

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the PEACE Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; Do not let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

The Village politely request that snow and leaves and grass clippings not be bowed into the ditches.

Bag your organic material or mulch it but do not put it in the ditch across from your property.

Enforcement action will be taken and removal costs recovered from the roll via electronic picture evidence.
