• 4 items per roll ONLY for example 3 black bags and microwave or 4 black bags or 2 chairs and 2 black bags;

Effective today (May 31) at 4 p.m., Sturgeon County and the towns of Bon Accord, Legal and Redwater are under a fire restriction.

The fire and OHV ban issued earlier this month has been lifted; however, open fires – including burn barrels and incinerators – and fireworks are not allowed.

All Residents - the Village kindly request the following community standards be adhered to and politely ask all to strive for a peaceful and courteous, respectful community:

• WINTER/SPRING: DO NOT push your snow into the ditches.  Do not complain about flooding in the Spring if you do so.  All areas are monitored and where snow is pushed into the ditches recorded, to check and correspond with Spring flooding complaints.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; DO NOT ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  DO NOT ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated - BE RESPECTFUL please!

• WINTER/SUMMER: No target practice or any form of weapons discharge or cross bow discharge is allowed in the public lands to the east of Lakeshore Drive or within municipal boundaries- any activity will be fined by the Bylaw Officer and fines will be added to the appropriate roll number;

• ALL YEAR: Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• SUMMER: All recreational fires (at your property ONLY) must be in a approved fire pit and must have a spark screen/cover at all times - douse, stir and douse when you put out the fire (you MUST put it out;

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the Bylaw Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; DO NOT let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

The Village kindly request that residents and vendors please continue to conduct your municipal affairs through email and phone, but if you do visit us at the office do so one at a time.

Aug/Sept is holiday and cheques can be dropped off in the Village stainless steel mailbox at the store, way on the left or please strongly consider to pay via Interac: email payments.

Bag your organic material or mulch it but do NOT put it in the ditch across from your property.

Enforcement action will be taken and removal costs recovered from the roll via electronic picture evidence.

Please help report vehicles and quads and dirt bikes entering the fire breaks off West Cove Drive so the Village can add the fines to the tax rolls directly.  Please spread the word - These areas are off limits for any type of vehicle and strictly for emergency escape and otherwise recreationally, (NON VEHICLE use) like trail walking and dogging.  Please clean and pick up after your pet(s). 

If you can or do see vehicles, bikes and quads here or entering the areas off West Cove Drive or the Highway take a picture of the license plates and we will pass it on to our new Peace Officer from Sturgeon County so the fines can be added to the tax rolls directly and with immediate effect. 

Thank you for your help and the Village apologize for the inconvenience caused by a few people who ignore the non use signs and make life miserable for the vast number of respectful residents.

All Residents - the Village kindly request the following community standards be adhered to and politely ask all to strive for a peaceful and courteous, respectful community:

• WINTER/SPRING: DO NOT push your snow into the ditches.  Do not complain about flooding in the Spring if you do so.  All areas are monitored and where snow is pushed into the ditches recorded, to check and correspond with Spring flooding complaints.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; DO NOT ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  DO NOT ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated - BE RESPECTFUL please!

• WINTER/SUMMER: No target practice or any form of weapons discharge or cross bow discharge is allowed in the public lands to the east of Lakeshore Drive or within municipal boundaries- any activity will be fined by the Bylaw Officer and fines will be added to the appropriate roll number;

• ALL YEAR: Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• SUMMER: All recreational fires (at your property ONLY) must be in a approved fire pit and must have a spark screen/cover at all times - douse, stir and douse when you put out the fire (you MUST put it out;

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the Bylaw Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; DO NOT let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

Every year, YRL offers to provide our member municipalities an update on what YRL has done around the region after our annual report is released and if applicable, an update about our work with the libraries that the member municipality support. 

Residents and elected officials for Sandy Beach and Sunrise Beach are invited to join YRL on October 14 at 11am at the Myrna Noyes Community Hall for a public information session.

Please help report vehicles and quads and dirt bikes entering the fire breaks off West Cove Drive so the Village can add the fines to the tax rolls directly.  Please spread the word - These areas are off limits for any type of vehicle and strictly for emergency escape and otherwise recreationally, (NON VEHICLE use) like trail walking and dogging.  Please clean and pick up after your pet(s). 

If you can or do see vehicles, bikes and quads here or entering the areas off West Cove Drive or the Highway take a picture of the license plates and we will pass it on to our new Peace Officer from Sturgeon County so the fines can be added to the tax rolls directly and with immediate effect. 

Thank you for your help and the Village apologize for the inconvenience caused by a few people who ignore the non use signs and make life miserable for the vast number of respectful residents.

All Residents - the Village kindly request the following community standards be adhered to and politely ask all to strive for a peaceful and courteous, respectful community:

• WINTER/SPRING: DO NOT push your snow into the ditches.  Do not complain about flooding in the Spring if you do so.  All areas are monitored and where snow is pushed into the ditches recorded, to check and correspond with Spring flooding complaints.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; DO NOT ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  DO NOT ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated - BE RESPECTFUL please!

• WINTER/SUMMER: No target practice or any form of weapons discharge or cross bow discharge is allowed in the public lands to the east of Lakeshore Drive or within municipal boundaries- any activity will be fined by the Bylaw Officer and fines will be added to the appropriate roll number;

• ALL YEAR: Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• SUMMER: All recreational fires (at your property ONLY) must be in a approved fire pit and must have a spark screen/cover at all times - douse, stir and douse when you put out the fire (you MUST put it out;

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the Bylaw Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; DO NOT let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; DO NOT ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  DO NOT ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated - BE RESPECTFUL please!

• WINTER/SUMMER: No target practice or any form of weapons discharge or cross bow discharge is allowed in the public lands to the east of Lakeshore Drive or within municipal boundaries- any activity will be fined by the Bylaw Officer and fines will be added to the appropriate roll number;

• ALL YEAR: Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• SUMMER: All recreational fires (at your property ONLY) must be in a approved fire pit and must have a spark screen/cover at all times - douse, stir and douse when you put out the fire (you MUST put it out;

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the Bylaw Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; DO NOT let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

Please help report vehicles and quads and dirt bikes entering the fire breaks off West Cove Drive so the Village can add the fines to the tax rolls directly.  Please spread the word - These areas are off limits for any type of vehicle and strictly for emergency escape and otherwise recreationally, (NON VEHICLE use) like trail walking and dogging.  Please clean and pick up after your pet(s). 

If you can or do see vehicles, bikes and quads here or entering the areas off West Cove Drive or the Highway take a picture of the license plates and we will pass it on to our new Peace Officer from Sturgeon County so the fines can be added to the tax rolls directly and with immediate effect. 

Thank you for your help and the Village apologize for the inconvenience caused by a few people who ignore the non use signs and make life miserable for the vast number of respectful residents.

All Residents - the Village kindly request the following community standards be adhered to and politely ask all to strive for a peaceful and courteous, respectful community:

• WINTER/SPRING: DO NOT push your snow into the ditches.  Do not complain about flooding in the Spring if you do so.  All areas are monitored and where snow is pushed into the ditches recorded, to check and correspond with Spring flooding complaints.

• SUMMER: ATV's and OHV's must have spark arresters - the call out from fire will be charged to the roll number; DO NOT ride on the fire break off West Cove Drive - this area is for walking and peaceful recreation - the area is signposted no vehicles and is strictly for emergency escape.  DO NOT ride with your OHV up and down in front of lakeshore properties where receding areas has been cultivated - BE RESPECTFUL please!

• WINTER/SUMMER: No target practice or any form of weapons discharge or cross bow discharge is allowed in the public lands to the east of Lakeshore Drive or within municipal boundaries- any activity will be fined by the Bylaw Officer and fines will be added to the appropriate roll number;

• ALL YEAR: Do not leave your garbage and organics on the road during the week PUT IT OUT THE NIGHT OR MORNING BEFORE; 5 black bags and 5 clear bags (organics) that is the limit - no exceptions.

• ALL YEAR: Please slow down and STOP at the stop signs - we have people walking - be respectful and courteous;

• SPRING/SUMMER: When the day park is open (May 1 to Oct 15) report suspicious vehicles and when you use the day park: pick up after your dog (which must be on a lease), no alcohol, no cannabis, no open fires or any music - be courteous;

• SUMMER: All recreational fires (at your property ONLY) must be in a approved fire pit and must have a spark screen/cover at all times - douse, stir and douse when you put out the fire (you MUST put it out;

• ALL YEAR: DOGS & STRAY dogs - report to the office as the Bylaw Officer (780.718.1894) will impound the dogs and all costs will be added to the tax roll; DO NOT let your pets roam off your property without a lease and approach or charge residents or go onto other people's yards! Dogs that are homely and lost can be taken to the Parkland County's pound if it is safe to do so or put on Facebook - make sure you say you are a Sandy Beach resident and have proof. Be a RESPONSIBLE pet and dog owner please.

• If you are using weed control or gopher extermination - follow all user guidelines and do not let residue escape onto neighbouring property please - USE CAUTION;

• SUMMER: ATV's are not allowed in the day park or the Fire Break off West Cove Drive - be courteous and respectful and celebrate nature not rude riding at any time or season - the Bylaw Officer will issue fines and a camera has been installed to monitor offenders that are a liability to children and other users.  Where a helmet on a insured vehicle and make sure you are legally allowed to use the vehicle - be respectful and courteous and avoid disturbing others amenity.  Dirt bikes - use the Westlock dirt riders facility please.

The Village kindly request that residents and vendors please continue to conduct your municipal affairs through email and phone, but if you do visit us at the office do so one at a time. 

Do NOT visit the office if you have the flu or flu like symptoms.
